Art direction, brand visuals and website design for a Chennai based boutique, specialising in handcrafted nose ornaments.
The idea was to create a
minimal, luxe look unlike most jewellery websites which are over-packed with information and CGI visuals. The website also educates the customer on the rich history of this enigmatic ornament.

Packaging Design
At its core, Mookuthi is all about celebrating the miniature ornament. This became central to how we approached the packaging design.
The original Mookuthi box was big and clunky. The idea was create a box that is - thoughtful, layered and small enough for someone to hold on to.
We decided to go with the
A series and constructed an A7 100% paper/plastic free cardboard box with multiple layers to amplify the unboxing experience. The box is crafted with Munken Polar.
The outer box opens to reveal a flushed sleeve that holds the brand information + a flannel cloth for cleaning the ornament. Underneath it, lies a small red box that holds the mookuthi mounted on a 350 gsm sheet.
